THE SUUBI HEALTH CENTER IN EASTERN UGANDA
In Budondo village, Eastern Uganda, the closest hospital is 24km (about 15 miles) away and the common means of transport for pregnant women are motorcycles or bicycles. Pregnant women give birth without professional services, and many opt to give birth at home risking their lives and those of their babies. With the completion of the Suubi health center, women regain their dignity and health. The health center will serve over 26,000 people in Budondo and the neighboring sub counties.
With your support, we can make this happen!
Each contribution makes a difference and gets us closer to our goal of raising $20,000 to build the Suubi health center. If you can't contribute at this time, please support this initiative by sharing this page with your friends and loved ones on Facebook or Twitter and/or word of mouth: http://www.stayclassy.org/healthclinic.
I will leave for Uganda in three months, to supervise the project. To follow the progress and impact that you will be making, visit my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/kiribedda.latifah
